Profile

My name is Xinyu Weng, I’m the author of Slow Chinese. I’m a University student in Beijing. I have many hobbies, for example learning language, traveling and doing some CG, graphics designing and photography. But I think the most exciting thing in the world is to make friends with people from all of the world and exchange minds. So contact me!

Why Slow Chinese

There was obviously nowhere to find such kind of learning resource on the Internet, as my german friend Eva began to learn Chinese. However, as I learned English and German, there were so many SLOW learning stuff available, which have helped me quite a lot. Therefore I started Slow Chinese to fill this blank.

Each Slow Chinese episode consists of a podcast and its transcript. On one hand, you can improve your listening and writing skills in Chinese, on the other hand, you can learn about China and Chinese people in all aspects.

How to Use

You can listen to the podcast by clicking “Play Now” after each post, or open the player in a popup window by clicking “Playing in Popup”.  To download the file (podcast in Mp3 or transcript in PDF), right-click on “Download” and choose “save as…”. Since most browsers have built-in audio player and pdf viewer, direct click on “Download” may not function properly.

You can also use the following services to keep informed of latest update in Slow Chinese:
