#1: 端午节

中国农历的五月五日是一个重要的节日，叫做端午节。它是一个古老的传统节日，有两千多年的历史。
关于端午节的起源有很多说法，其中，最有影响力的一种说法是：端午节是纪念一位古代的爱国诗人，他叫屈原。因为他的国家灭亡了，他很难过，所以跳进河里自杀。老百姓为了防止河里的鱼虾破坏屈原的尸体，就做了糯米团扔进河里。他们划龙舟驱散河里的鱼。于是就产生了包粽子和赛龙舟这些习俗。但是也有人说，其实端午节在屈原以前就已经存在了。不管怎样，端午节的影响广泛。不只在中国，在日本、韩国和其他亚洲国家，人们也庆祝端午节。
下面我就说说包粽子和赛龙舟：
粽子是煮熟的用竹叶包裹的糯米团。粽子有很多种馅：猪肉馅、蜜枣馅、豆沙馅等等。在不同的地方，粽子的形状也不一样。中国北方的粽子是长条形的，而南方的粽子则是三角锥形的。人们可以在家里自己包粽子，也可以去商店购买粽子。最有名的粽子是嘉兴的“五芳斋”粽子，很多人喜欢买来当做礼品送给亲朋好友。赛龙舟是一项体育活动。龙舟，就是形状像龙的船。龙舟有20-30米长，每条船上约有30名水手。水手们的衣服都一样，动作也都一致。龙舟上还有人在打鼓。每年端午节，各地都举行赛龙舟。赛龙舟的时候，有很多龙舟队参加，很多观众在岸边加油喝彩，场面非常热闹。
在端午节，还有很多其他的习俗。比如，人们在门前挂一棵草或者一副神像；父母在孩子的手腕系上彩色的线，或者在他们的胸前挂上香囊。香囊就是包着草药的小布袋。这些都可以带来好运。

Thanks for modifying them. It will be interesting if you can write all the aspect of China/Chinese life( e.g transportation, Finance, hospital, infrastructure,insurance, politics, technology, city life, etc). I think it will help we foreigners to understand more about China, at the same time improve our listening,vocabulary, and writing.

You’re welcome. I always want to write those topics you’ve mentioned, transpotation, insurance, politics…which is also a big challenge for me. I think I should do some research or gain more experience before I start these topics, but I promise I will write them! Anyway through this work I also get to know more about my own country!

Thank you for agreeing to fix it. Could you please fix the rest of the comprehension as well. I tried to listen 6 but the background music keeps distracting me from the listening.
